SIGNMARK and Actor Seyed-Ali "ACE" Mahbaz join the circus ring at Sencity Berlin
On 24th July 2010 Sencity will touch ground for the first time in Germany. Berlin is getting ready for hosting the "Circus of Senses" featuring many great music acts, our vibrating floor, Aroma and visual jockeys, sign dancers, body paint models, hairdressers and masseuses.
But that is not all we have in for you: Live performances by world famous SIGNMARK from Finland, Lady Daisey from the United States, Soca Band Berlin, Alexkid and the DJ combo Urban Frequnece from Munich/ Zurich. Moderator of the evening and stage director is famous actor Seyed-Ali "ACE" Mahbaz, who just returned to Germany after living and performing in London.

The innovative way of supporting Sencity Sydney!
Sencity is organised in Sydney, Australia on the 27th of August. In order to enhance the experience in Sydney, Skyway has been searching for alternative funding opportunities for the event.
Fundbreak.com.au is a platform developed for creative individuals, groups and organisations who want to realize their project. In this occasion Sencity cooperates together with Fundbreak which is Australia's 1st crowdfunding platform to fund Sencity Sydney. The platform gives art lovers and interested parties the opportunity to be part of a project by investing in it. Skyway rewards the people who contribute towards the project. The Early Bird Tickets sold out in one week!
After success of the Early Bird presale for Sencity Tivoli, the organization has decided to put 50 EXTRA Early Bird tickets in the presale.
During the Early Bird action tickets are for sale for €10,- each. After this action, the normal presale with a ticket price of €15,- and door price €17,50 will start after annunciation. Be quick!

Early Bird ticket sale Sencity Tivoli has started!
To receive the first tickets for Sencity Tivoli - Winter Wonderland, the Early Bird ticket sale starts today. During the presale of Sencity Melkweg earlier this year, tickets were sold out very quick. Early Birds can now buy their tickets for this sense stimulating music event. At the 4th of December, Tivoli will be one miraculous wintery experimental area where all the senses will be stimulated and everybody will experience the emotion of music.

Rapper Signmark got everybody on the dancefloor!
Arranged for the third time here in Finland, Sencity once again brought the deaf and hearing together to enjoy this unique event on the 14th of May. The music was experienced through all the senses in night club Night Jyväskylä. Sencity 2010 gathered over 800 people to live the music and dance all night long.
The gig of the deaf rapper Signmark and Brandon made it really hard for people to move around; the dance floor, stairs and the upper floor were packed by amazed viewers. As watching the audience being so enthusiastic about Signmark, it then really felt that there were no boundaries between the deaf and hearing. "Signmark was really nice, there was a good atmosphere, it was better than a normal concert. Sencity is a great idea and I enjoyed the experience, this should be arranged more often", Justine Boudet says. See you in 2011!

First Sencity in Salvador
At the 30th of April the first Sencity in Salvador - Brasilia, took place. Lots of people, deaf and hearing, enjoyed the evening trough all their senses.
But also before the event took place, a lot of people come together to organize this amazing party. People in Salvador got introduced to Sencity and got to know their own talents. Sencity Salvador is ready for Sencity 2011!

Sencity WorldTour moved on to Johannesburg
And it rocked in Johannesburg! After an intensive cooperation of 6 months with a very enthusiastic team of deaf people (TenSa team), last Friday an amazing event in Johannesburg took place.
Previous on the event several workshops about HIV in the deaf community have been organized.
Different people and organizations realized, together with the TenSa team, to organize the first music event for deaf people in Johannesburg. With Success! Lots of different people were dancing last Friday 19 march at Sencity in the music hall Bassline, in NewTown.
Sencity made a difference in the life of people in Johannesburg, deaf and hearing, HIV or not, gay, lesbian, straight, black, white or all the beautiful colors in between, young, old, rich or... Friday evening everybody in Bassline was very rich!

Sencity Cape Town 2010!!!
Last Friday the moment was finally there. Again Sencity managed to create the ultimate party vibe for deaf and hearing people with bands such as: The Rudimentals, Ej Von Lyrik, HHP, Dubmasta China and Ready D!
It was a spectacular evening for both communities. With a perfect mixture of deaf and hearing you could really notice that it was a multi-sensory event. People where dancing on the vibrating sensefloor where they were making the most incredible dance moves. Together with the signdancer and a nice smell of different aroma's Sencity Cape Town 2010 was a big success!!

Sencity WorldTour started great in Amsterdam!
Together with 2000 visitors, Sencity WorldTour started last Friday in Melkweg Amsterdam. The kickoff started with an amazing performance by Krause, together with signdancers and a VJ show who translated lyrics into visuals on a special way. After this performance Miss Kitting played her back to back concept together with Shinedoe, supported with a dansact, foodjockey's, aromalola and a sensfloor. We are proud that because a lot of people who worked together this events took place. Towards Capetown!

See What I'm Saying: The Deaf Entertainers Documentary
Director/producer Hilari Scarl follows the journeys of four extraordinary deaf entertainers over the course of a single year as their stories intertwine and culminate in some of the most important events of their lives. There is Bob from Beethoven's Nightmare, the world's only deaf rock band, and singer TL who has a recording deal to produce her first CD, entitled "Not Deaf Enough". Presently on Sencity 5 days off, this movie will play at Melkweg.

Sencity Amsterdam: 5 days off
Coming up on the 5th of March: Sencity Amsterdam 5 days off in Melkweg. 5 Days Off takes place every year during 5 continuous days in Paradiso, Melkweg and the Dutch Institute for Media art in Amsterdam. For the first time visitors will enjoy this year the senses through music, a sensefloor, an aromajocky, signdancers, suprising food and visuals at the festival.

Sencity Johannesburg 19 march 2010
This upcoming event is the first of his kind in Gauteng. Together with the TenSA Team, a group of local, motivated deaf youngsters will the event be organized.
Besides the event we organize several workshops in cooperation with Loveife about the HIV issue for the deaf community. The message which will be spread is 'Celebrate life, check it out'.
