SENCITY
Sencity is a special and unique event, that brings deaf- and hearing impaired and hearing people together. The emotions and passions of music are converted to as many senses as possible.Deaf people could never hear the melody of the music but they can capture the emotion of the music. To express this, a vibration floor is used which responds to the frequency of the music. Music interpreters as well as aroma-jockeys that convert the emotion of the music into smell, vibrating dance floors and visualisations on screen are used.
Sencity is the place to have fun!
The success of the concept of the parties has catapulted Sencity into fame within the deaf cummunity. The event, held every half year, is the place where people come to have fun. But in the world of the hearing people it has also slowly started to dawn.
At every event Skyway works specifically with “Deaf on Point” from Rotterdam. This organisation trains deaf people to become professional dancers. This led to an expressive group of deaf dancers.
